We must sensibly exploit our large coal and gas resources, build more dams, and start a nuclear power industry. The rest of the World must think Australia is populated by idiots of the Green variety. I estimate that about 50% of Internet and Radio News is fake news, or incorrect news, and 50% is factual - like police reports, or bush fires, but which is which? Which news is genuine, and which is just opinion? The topic of Climate Change is so saturated with non-scientific bunkum that it is difficult to have a sane conservation with anyone about it. One could start with asking: what is a global temperature? Does such a thing exist, and if so how do you measure it? Next you could ask what does CO2 pollution look like? High school students of chemistry will inform you that CO2 gas is invisible. This, fairly obviiously, means you can’t see it. Clever students will realize the deliberate deception by activists linking invisible CO2 to smog and particulate pollution caused by cars and manufacturing industries. Such pollution needs to be rectified of course, but you have to know your chemistry to do it effectively. CO2 should not be used as a propaganda tool. We want it and the plants want it. CO2 is good stuff. It is a desirable component of our atmosphere. Without atmospheric CO2 we will all perish. The UN and its associated hard-green activists have developed an elaborate mythology demonizing carbon and CO2, for various reasons. This is misguided; carbon is the most wonderful element in the Periodic Table and does not deserve this insult. Carbon forms more compounds than ALL the other elements put together; hence we have ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, a subject which appears unknown to most politicians. CLIMATE STUPIDITY LINGERS ON IN POLAND

We are told by the news media that the Climate Change Conference held in Poland lingers on because the delegates have not yet agreed upon a final report for their proceedings. I suggest they leave Poland alone. Go back home and do your report writing via telephone and the Internet....that's more efficient.

Nobody sane would want to read the report anyway. More advice, from a chemist, is to leave CARBON alone. Go and learn some carbon chemistry. You will find out that CO2 is not a pollutant but a very desirable component of our atmosphere. Plants love it. It is the basis of all life forms. We could do with MORE CO2 in the atmosphere, not less.

The UN promoted idea that all countries must reduce their production of Greenhouse gases in order to save the world from catastrophic global warming is codswallop..nonsense,, bunkum. They ignore the social benefits of carbon. It is a very confused pseudo-scientific mythology which is best rejected by Governments around the world. The promoters of this anti-carbon mythology should repent, go home, and find something else to do that might benefit society.

MORE ABC NEWS BUNKUM

Our news media must spend all night dreaming up bunkum and fake news to spread next day on the airwaves in order to scare gullible people.  The media is supposed to report on factual news, like the Californian wild fires, about which they are doing a good job, however journalists are all always tempted to make up the news, instead of just reporting on it.

Today was a goldmine of the improbable.  Australia university professors were reported on their speculation of what would happen to the Earth if there was a 5 degree rise in global temperature.  All species, including humans, would become extinct,  they said.  Of course they then appeal to Government to stop this climate change before it is too late.   Being a geologist, I was not impressed with their argument. People living in Siberia would be pleased about such a rise in temperature. My bet is that the World is heading for another Ice Age which is a lot more dangerous to humans.

Next we were lambasted by another horror to do with climate change with the authority this time being the CEO’s of our major energy companies BHP, Woodside and Rio Tinto.   According to the ABC, these leaders of industry want a price on CARBON in order to save the World from overheating and extinction (according to UN mythology).  According to them we must urge the Government to make the transition to a low carbon economy by reducing our Greenhouse gas emissions and so supposedly stop climate change.   Well, well, well……also ha, ha, ha.   If this is truly what these CEOs believe, then they are raving loonies.  I advise to sell any shares you may have in their companies before they go broke.  Woodside has always favoured CCS (carbon capture and storage) which is a nonsense technology.

So, don’t believe everything you may read on the Internet.  Half of it is nonsense, but which half?

It's good news that the CO2 content of our atmosphere is slowly rising, from about 400 ppm now. About 1000 ppm would be nice, i.e., well above the danger point where all plant life would die out (ca 150 ppm). The UN and it's IPCC are quite mad in promoting the false idea that we must lower our CO2 emissions, to support their mythology of global warming.

Plants, crops and forests need CO2 to grow and be healthy. The pollies, including the Liberals, need to go back to school and learn some science.

It is necessary to unravel past mistakes. It has long been recognized that Australian energy policies have been devised and run by charlatans and raving Green lunatics. The only way forward to achieve cheap power and overall prosperity for the country as a whole is to stop this investment in renewables (wind and solar) i.e., allow no more subsidies of 2 to 3 billion per year.

Get rid of RETS, which are a UN devised nonsense designed to ruin our economic development through lowering of Greenhouse gas emissions. This is a bullshit UN mythology concocted to save the world from global warming, when geologists say we are long over due to move into another Ice Age.

The solution to the energy problem is as follows:
(1) Tell the UN to go to hell.
(2) Use your OWN brains to solve any problem.
(3) Develop our COAL, GAS and HYDRO resources to generate electricity,
(4) Phase out all useless wind farms and large solar plants (and the fools that promote them).

GET OUT of the Paris Agreement on CC and Greenhouse Gas Reductions, which are based on the nonsense that CO2 is a pollutant, which it isn't. Get rid of all the RETS (Renewable Energy Targets) which are based on this UN anti-carbon nonsense. IT'S COLD IN ADELAIDE THIS WINTER MORNING

Living in South Australia this winter most pensioners will be too scared to heat their homes or flats for fear of receiving a huge power bill. At least it doesn't snow here in the winter, which was one reason why I left living in Buffalo, NY. Snow is meant to be confined to the tops of mountains and be optional. My computer desk temperature now is 16 degrees C. at 6am..(outside is 5 degrees C).I'm going back to bed to warm up.

GOODBYE AUSTRALIA

Australia is sliding to its economic doom with the present greedy and stupid mob of pollies at the helm. Their priorities are all wrong. These pollies feed at the Government trough which seems to have a direct link to their bank accounts. They are so far out on a limb of the tree of largesse they will never voluntary come back. However, there is an inkling that something is seriously wrong when we see the rise of the Independent pollies, such as One Nation, the Australian Conservatives, ALA, and the Monash Forum, et al.

We are not alone in this battle against idiocy and political skulduggery found in Western democracies. This serious blight is even more of a problem in the UK and the US. At least in the US they have a good Leader as President, in Mr Trump, who is slowly making progress in demolishing the charlatans in opposition, Sosna, a Trump analyst, says today: "The rope is slowly being tightened against the throats of all the big time swamp creatures". The swamp is being drained in the USA. We haven't even started draining the swamp in Canberra.

Our Australian economy is controlled by stupid Green pollies who support and promote the anti-carbon propaganda of the corrupt United Nations, with its ridiculous RETS, or Renewable Energy Targets. They work for the Ministry of Energy and the Environment, and are found in the Prime Minister's Office. We are being controlled by a foreign power and the instigators are not even "dual citizens". Ha ha ha …..you are being hoodwinked by a clever lawyer. Next you will be having a Republic, and next you will have a country controlled by Muslims. That is the future installed for us, unless you do something to stop it.

AUSTRALIAN POLITICS IS THE PITS

Once upon a time, about 30 years ago, Australian politics was a reputable endeavour. We were proud of our pollies who mostly were doing a good job running the country for the benefit of us all. Now things have changed. Australian politics has become a cess-pit of bullshit, skulduggery and treason. We pensioners and retirees have been left out in the cold wondering what's happened.

In the good old days we could enjoy retirement by watching cricket, or going fishing, or visiting the grandchildren etc, but now we are wondering how to pay the next power bill, or whether someone is Arthur or Martha. Terrorism has raised it's ugly head. Gang violence is a worry in many cities. And our pollies have all gone stupid and don't, or wont rectify matters. We have no LEADER to do so, unlike the USA which has Mr Trump, a businessman, to sort things out when they get out of hand.

I have no hestitation in giving free political advice to our Australian pollies. They are not unique in being stupid. I do the same for pollies in the US, UK and NZ. They all need our help, i.e., for someone to point out their follies and so perhaps make the world a better place to live in, if they correct these follies.

At the moment Australian politics is smothered in the smokescreen of the DUAL CITIZEN SAGA. Sadly you are being hoodwinked by some clever lawyers. My view is that the Constitution should not be changed, but preserved as an important historic document. There are other ways of resolving the supposed problem. Firstly, look at what other countries do about qualifications for being an MP, in Europe, and British Commonwealth countries. How can a pollie, born in Canada, or India, be accused of potential treason? Such pollies have been fired from our Federal parliament by a High Court decision. These pollies have been wrongly punished for a supposed crime that they MIGHT commit, which is not acceptable in law. The High Court is MAD on this issue.

Another serious problem facing Australian politics is the infiltration of Government by raving lunatics promoting renewable energy. They seem to think that Renewable Energy is like perpetual motion and can be harnessed directly to their bank accounts, thus giving an endless supply of money from the Government trough. This has got to STOP.

A measure of the stupidity of pollies regarding this matter is found by the level each Party supports the UN inspired RETS, or Renewable Energy Targets, viz., LNP 26%, Labor 50% and Greens 100%. This is a shocking level of stupidity revealed to the rest of the World. The whole idea rests on the anti-carbon mythology promoted worldwide by the United Nations. Our Prime Minister thinks this to be a good idea. I don't, for it will lead to the ruin of Australia and establishment of the One World Government. Take your pick for the future.

RAMPANT LUNACY IN OZ

Re the "Dual citizen saga". I am not suggesting that the Constitution be changed....I think it should be preserved as is, it being an important historical document. It is up to lawyers to find an acceptable remedy to the problem. Important facts to consider are that you can not help where you were born. (Being born elsewhere, and to travel, seems to give you a broader understanding of the world's problems). Also, it is not acceptable to be punished for a supposed crime that you MIGHT commit, as opposed to one having been committed. Our pollies, what ever Political Party they represent, should not be fired from Parliament just because someone says they could potentially commit treasonous, unloyal behaviour, because they were born in the UK, Canada or NZ etc. This is madness. What about being innocent until being proven guilty.? Most of the treasonous behaviour observed today is done by dinkum Aussie citizens. Australia is going through a period of rampant lunacy. It is time it woke up to the dangers that lie ahead.
